Protest Bush!!

________________________________________________________________
Guess who's coming to Canada, again. George Bush, war criminal!

Send us your messages of protest from all across Canada!

From launching an illegal war on Iraq that has killed over one million people, to advocating torture at Guantánamo Bay and secret detention centres around the world, Bush has lots to answer for - and should be held to account. On May 29, Bush is scheduled to speak at an exclusive event in downtown Toronto, alongside former US president Bill Clinton. Outside the event, the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War will host a rally to demand that Bush be charged and arrested for war crimes.

If you can't join us in Toronto, you can still be part of the protest.

The Toronto Coalition to Stop the War invites you to send us your messages of protest from all across Canada. During the rally, we'll be rolling out an "unwelcome" mat for Bush; your protest messages will be pasted to the mat to show that people everywhere think Bush is a war criminal. Please send us your messages by e-mail to info@nowar.ca. Please keep your messages to one page, so we can easily print them and paste them to the "unwelcome" mat.Don't let Canada be a haven for war criminals. War criminals not welcome here!

Upcoming Forum on Racism - March 2

We are currently working on organizing a forum at UVic on Racism. We are approaching other campus clubs to bring their thoughts and perspectives to this event.

We aim to address some of the issues of racism and the confusion as to what racism is. We also hope that by addressing these issues we strengthen the struggles against our real enemy; Capitalism. Racism is profitable and there are those exploiting our divides. Let's come together and discuss how we can confront hate and work together towards freedom and equality for all.
